We would love to hear from you.
How is Direct Primary Care different than traditional medical clinics?
Coastal Health & Wellness uses a unique model of care where providers are paid directly by their patients. By cutting out the middle man (insurance), we are able to provide quality care without all the hassle. No need to wait for approval for procedures or medications covered under our membership.
What can I expect as a patient?
You can expect shorter wait times, longer appointments, and 24/7 access to your provider. You can contact your provider via phone, email & text messaging any time day or night.
We also have a partnership with local labs to provide you with discounted pricing for labs or procedures needed.
Do I still need insurance?
All patients are encouraged to have at least major medical insurance coverage.
How much does it cost and what is included?
We offer flat rate membership fees based on the patient’s age. You can see more about pricing here.
The fee covers excellent primary care through office visits, annual wellness exams, well-child exams, sports physicals, school physicals, basic office procedures, treatment of acute illness or minor injuries. It gives you access to your provider 24/7. Last, but not least, it gives you shorter wait times and longer, more personal visits.
How can I contact my provider after hours?
We know that life doesn’t always happen during office hours. If you just need to get in touch with us after hours with a non-urgent question, but one that probably shouldn’t wait until tomorrow, members can send our provider a text message and expect a prompt reply. Lastly, if you have an urgent issue after-hours, our provider is only a phone call away.
We do NOT see emergency situations! If you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, or any other life-threatening situation, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room!
Are there medications Coastal Health & Wellness does not prescribe?
Coastal Health & Wellness does not subscribe opioids, narcotics for chronic pain, or controlled sedatives for the treatment of chronic anxiety.
Does Coastal Health & Wellness provide prenatal services?
No. Coastal Health & Wellness does not provide prenatal services at this time.
Outside of paying for membership, medicine, or labwork, are there other fees I might have to pay?
Almost all of the routine procedures our provider performs have no additional charge to members. There are a few exceptions, for more complicated procedures. Our pricing page has details.
What if I decided to cancel?
We expect to have an open, honest, respectful relationship with you. If you have voiced a complaint that we cannot satisfy together, we will gladly allow you to terminate your membership. If you choose to rejoin, fees will be applied.
You are able to cancel at any time. Coastal Health & Wellness request a 14-day notice prior to the next billing cycle.
Do you really make house calls?
Absolutely. If in our opinion, your situation warrants a house call, we will come to you at no additional charge (within our service area).
Does Coastal Health & Wellness see patients of all ages?
